John Galvan is the Owner and Club Director of West Edge Volleyball Club. A former collegiate outside hitter at California State University, Northridge, he helped CSUN earn a national runner-up finish at the 2022 NCVF National Championships.

John later transitioned into coaching with CSUN’s top men’s club team, helping lead the program to a national championship in 2024, an SCCVL runner-up finish in 2025, and a top-eight finish at the 2025 NCVF Division I-A National Championships. He has coached at the collegiate, club, and high school levels, including leading the boys varsity program at El Camino Real Charter and girls varisty program at John F. Kennedy.

Growing up, John was unable to participate in club sports because of financial limitations. That experience now drives his commitment to expanding access to high-quality volleyball training and creating more affordable opportunities for athletes and families in need.

John holds bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Business Administration, along with a minor in Information Systems, and previously worked at Deloitte. Since becoming West Edge’s Owner and Club Director in July 2025, he has focused on building a structured, competitive, and athlete-centered program where players are challenged, supported, and inspired to develop a lifelong love for the game.
